I recently booked a suite room for three adults and a two-year-old at Triton Hotel in Raipur for a one-night stay on January 10, 2024. Unfortunately, our experience was marred by a series of disappointments. Upon arrival, the hotel receptionist initially declined our booking, despite presenting the voucher. A 15-minute wait and a call to the booking agency finally secured our room. In a rush, we requested the receptionist to check us in and give the key to our staff while my wife, son, and I attended a party. The real ordeal began when my wife and son returned to the hotel at 12:30 am, only to find out that the hotel had provided a normal room instead of the booked suite. Despite multiple complaints, the reception insisted they had given the suite key, which wasn't true. After returning to the hotel and creating a scene, we were eventually given the suite room at 2 am. This experience was incredibly inconvenient and frustrating, especially considering we had paid 10,000 rupees for the supposedly luxurious suite. The lack of proper communication and adherence to the booking left us with a sour taste. Managing a toddler during this ordeal added to the challenges we faced. Triton Hotel needs to improve its customer service and ensure that bookings are honored as promised. Such experiences significantly impact the overall impression of a hotel stay, and in this case, it was far from satisfactory.
